True economic empowerment isn't just handing someone a loan and wishing them luck. In today's hyper-competitive world, empowerment means equipping someone with the practical, modern skills to survive and thrive in a digital marketplace.
We saw a critical gap: female entrepreneurs were being given generic "empowerment" messaging, but they weren't being taught how to win online. Recognizing this, Mithun Das Kabbo partnered with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Bangladesh Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BWCCI) to launch a massive capacity-building project.
We threw out the textbook of generic advice. Instead, we traveled to both rural villages and urban centers to deliver highly practical, actionable business strategies. We developed comprehensive training modules focused entirely on digital marketing and financial literacy.
We taught them how to optimize their digital presence, how to track their finances, and how to scale their ideas into profitable realities.
By the end of the project, 3,000 female entrepreneurs had graduated. They weren't just inspired; they were armed with the exact tools needed to dominate the e-commerce landscape. This data-driven approach proved a powerful truth: when you give women targeted, practical education, they don't just build businesses—they sustainably transform entire local economies.
